Tha Blaqprint

Tha Blaqprint is the third album by the U.S. Queensbridge rapper Blaq Poet, published in 2009 on DJ Premier's Year Round Records record label via Fat Beats Records. The album consists of two CDs with 15 tracks. The second CD contains instrumental versions of all the pieces of the first CD.

On the plate, there are guest appearances by the group NYGz and rapper Nick Javas, Capone -N- Noreaga member NORE, Imani Montana, Lil ' Fame of MOP, and the deceased Screwball member KL. The entire album was produced by DJ Premier. Only the song " U Phucc'd Up" and " Sichuwayshunz " was produced by Easy Mo Bee. The video for the album 's leading single Is not Nuttin Changed came out in February 2009. The beat consists of three different samples, plus a vocal sample of Akon in Hook. Go to track Is not Nuttin Changed came out a remix version, including new twisted video. The remix gives guest appearances from MC Eiht, known from group Compton 's Most Wanted, and Young Maylay, probably primarily for his role as Carl " CJ " Johnson in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is known.

Reception

When Matt Rinaldi Allmusic called the album a " darker counterpart " to Jay -Z's Blueprint albums. The album is decidedly " anti-pop " and incompatible with the commercial radio. He forgave four out of five stars. On the hiphopdx.com side were awarded four out of five points. Sean Ryon called Tha Blaqprint an "extremely well-made " hip- hop album, and the honesty of the lyrics and the " golden age " of hip-hop reminiscent production was praised.
