Tha Luang District

Amphoe Tha Luang ( Thai: อำเภอ ท่า หลวง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Lopburi. The Lopburi province is located in the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe are seen from the North: Amphoe Chai Badan and the Lam Sonthi of Lopburi province, Muak Lek in Saraburi province, as well as Amphoe Phatthana Nikhom again in Lopburi.

The Pasak - Jolasit Reservoir, which was created by damming the Maenam Pasak ( Pasak River ), is the main water resource of the circle. It is used both for fishing and for irrigation.

History

Amphoe Tha Luang was posted on November 15, 1978 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the four tambon Tha Luang, Sab Champha, Nong Phak Waen and Kaeng Phak Kut Amphoe Chai Badan were separated from. On May 26, 1989, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The circle is ( tambon) divided into six municipalities that continue in 43 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Ban Tha Luang ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ท่า หลวง ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of the tambon Tha Luang.
