Tha Phae District

Amphoe Tha Phae ( Thai: อำเภอ ท่าแพ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Satun in southern Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from north-west clockwise): Amphoe La - ngu The, Khuan Kalong, Khuan Don Mueang Satun and. All Amphoe located in the province of Satun. To the southwest lies the Andaman Sea.

History

Tha Phae was on 1 May 1976, first as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the two southwestern Tambon Tha Phae and Pae Ra Amphoe Khuan Kalong were separated from. On 4 July 1994 Tha Phae Amphoe got the full status.

Management

Amphoe Tha Phae is divided into four subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 28 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
