Tha Sae District

Tha Sae ( Thai: ท่า แซะ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northwestern part of the province of Chumphon in southern Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Tha Sae is by following Amphoe limited ( seen from the north clockwise from ): Amphoe Bang Saphan Noi Prachuap Khiri Khan, Amphoe Mueang Chumphon Pathio and Chumphon Province and Amphoe Kra Buri of Ranong province. To the west lies the Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar.

History

Tha Sae was a city ( Mueang ) under the suzerainty of the Mueang Chumphon, its governor held the rank of Phra. King Chulalongkorn ( Rama V ) evaluated Mueang Tha Sae from a district of the province of Chumphon. 1920 Tha Sae was devalued again to a small district ( King Amphoe ) of the district Pathio. In 1940 was the appreciation of a full-fledged Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Tha Sae consists of ten sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 115 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Tha Sae ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า แซะ ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district. It consists of parts of the tambon Tha Sae. Noen San ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เนิน สัน ต ) is the name of a more small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district. It also consists of parts of the tambon Tha Sae.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
