Tha Wung District

Amphoe Tha Wung ( Thai: อำเภอ ท่าวุ้ง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Lopburi. The Lopburi province is located in the central region of Thailand.

Geography

The main water resource of Tha Wung is the Maenam Lopburi ( Lopburi River ) and Maenam Bang Kham ( Bang Kham River ).

Adjacent Amphoe are seen from the north: the Amphoe Ban Mi and Mueang Lopburi Province Lop Buri, Amphoe Chaiyo Ang Thong province Amphoe Phrom Buri and the Mueang and Singburi province of Singburi.

History

Amphoe Tha Wung 1912 furnished, at that time under the name of Amphoe Pho Wi.

Management

The circle is in eleven subdistricts (tambon ) divided, the further into 128 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Tha Wung ( เทศบาล ตำบล ท่าวุ้ง ) consists of Tha Wung parts of the tambon.
  • Tha Khlong ( เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า โขลง ) consists of parts of the tambon Khao Samo Khon.

In addition, there are ten " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
