Thai (cat)

The Thai cat and the Siamese have the same origin and are derived from the former Siam - now Thailand. In the 1970s, the trend to grow ever slimmer, more delicate and more graceful Siamese cats began. Some growers were holding the traditional type, eventually the recognition of the same as a race under the name " Thai Cat" led, which is also known as " Old- Style Siamese " in the English language. However, many Thai breeders crossed a particular end of the 90s, foreign breeds such as Burma, Rex or Colorpoint - British to obtain the desired phenotype. Therefore, the claimed by many breeders regard to the "old, genuine Siamese " often not justified.
