Thai Charoen District

Amphoe Thai Charoen ( in Thai อำเภอ ไทย เจริญ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Yasothon. The Yasothon Province is located in the eastern part of northeast Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Pa Tio which, Kut Chum and Loeng Nok Tha in the province of Yasothon, and to the Amphoe Mueang Amnat Charoen Senangkhanikhom and Amnat Charoen Province.

History

Thai Charoen, originally a Tambon of Amphoe Loeng Nok Tha, was a small district ( King Amphoe ), consisting of five Tambon established on 1 April 1992, which were separated from Loeng Nok Tha.

On October 11, 1997 Thai Charoen was promoted to a Amphoe he was Yasothons ninth and Thailand's 784 district.

Management

Amphoe Thai Charoen is divided into five communities ( tambon), which in turn in 48 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Kham Toei ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คำ เตย ), consisting of the whole tambon Kham Toei.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
