Thai Farmers Bank F.C.

The Thai Farmers Bank FC ( Thai: สโมสร ฟุตบอล ธนาคาร กสิกร ไทย ) is a defunct Thai football club, which has played in the Thailand Premier League.

History

Was founded the club in 1987 and was still in the short time of its existence, one of the most successful clubs in the country. In the wake of the Asian crisis in 1997, the shares of the club owner and sponsor of the "Thai Farmers Bank " fell (today: Kasikorn Bank) which resulted to 49% in a takeover of the bank. Since the crisis, however, still persisted, it was decided the club in 2000, after the end of the season, log and resolve from the game. Until then, you could four times the championship and win the AFC Champions League as to date only club in Thailand in 13 years of existence. The most successful coach in the only 13 -year history of the association was Charnwit Polcheewin. He coached FC Thai Farmers Bank for 9 years, from 1991 to 2000. He led the club to four championships, to victory in the Afro Asian Cup and the two-time winning the AFC Champions League.
