Thai World Hockey League

The Thai World Hockey League (abbreviated TWHL ) is the highest Hockey League in Thailand.

History

Since the 1970s, there were first Hockey areas in Thailand and 1994 were the Flying Farangs, a selected team of foreign players in Thailand, situated participating in various tournaments. To promote the development of hockey was in Thailand, the Thai World Hockey League from the American Scott Whitcomb and the Canadians Scott Murray founded in 2003, which were both previously even players of the Flying Farangs.

The TWHL is about half of domestic players and foreign nationals and provides most of the players of the Thai national team.

In addition to the operation of the game TWHL the organizers of the league operate the Land of Smiles Classic and the City of Angels Cup, participate every year up to 30 teams from 15 countries of Asia.

The most recent edition of the league was won in the 2010/11 season by the Oilers Pattaya.
