Thanh Lam

Thanh Lam ( Doan Thanh Lam, born June 19, 1969 in Hà Nội ) is a Vietnamese singer.

The daughter of the composer and the musician Thuận Yen Thanh Hương began at the age of nine years at the Conservatory of Hanoi studying Djan Ty bà, a four-stringed Vietnamese traditional sounds; In 1985, she joined the singing.

After several awards at international music festivals they won the 1991 national competition professional singer in Vietnam, entitled Chia Tay Hoàng Hôn her father, who later composed many of their top title. In addition, she also sang compositions by Thanh Tùng, Dương Thu, Quoc Trung ( her husband from 1994 to 2004 ) and Lê Minh Son She worked with Vietnamese musicians such as Trần Thu Hà, Mỹ Linh, Hồng Nhung, Tùng Duong and Trọng Tấn, next Niels Lan Doky with Le Minh Son and her younger brother Trí Lin.

In 1998, Than Lam their first live show in Vietnam Em va Toi. She recorded more than thirty albums and performed in 2006 and 2007 with Nils Lan Doky in the project Vong Nguyet at the Roskilde Festival.
