That's Why I'm Here

That's Why I'm Here is the title of an album by James Taylor.

History

That's Why I'm Here is the first album of songwriter James Taylor after a four year break and after the separation from his wife Carly Simon. Brought for the shooting of his new songs James Taylor numerous colleagues from past common folk years into the studio. Don Henley of the Eagles, Joni Mitchell and Graham Nash are the best known names. In addition to his own songs, he recorded a version of Buddy Holly's hit Everyday, which was released as a single. The album, however, was far less successful than any of his previous albums. Taylor could indeed rely on his old fan base that picked the album up on the 34th place in the album charts in the U.S.. For a gold record but this was not enough.
