Thatcham

Thatcham is a small town with 23,000 inhabitants. It is situated between Reading and Newbury in Berkshire, southern England. The River Kennet flows through Thatcham. The Mayor of Thatcham is Alex Payton (as of January 2007). The twin town of Thatcham is Nideggen.

In Thatcham is the seat of Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre, an organization of the British car insurer. This center is a member of the European NCAP consortium, where, inter alia, tests for safety of child seats or head restraints can be performed.
