The 4-Skins

The 4-Skins are an English Oi! Band of the early 1980s from London. After the dissolution in 1984, the band was formed in 2007 new.

The band's name is a pun on the English word for foreskin ( foreskin ) and refers to the four-member cast, " Skins " is here as a short word for skinheads. The only band member who played along from the foundation to the end of the band, was the guitarist and ( from 1980) bassist Tom McCourt. All other instruments were reshuffled several times. The vocals took over last Roi Pearce ( The Last Resort ).

The band was formed in 1979 in the occupation of Gary Hodges (vocals), Steve 'H' Harmer ( bass), Hoxton Tom McCourt (guitar) and founded Gary Hitchcock (drums) and broke up five years later again. Despite the relatively short time they are still a cult band the Oi! Scene. Many 4-Skins song had violence as a theme, with the band claiming they would only address the reality of life in a big city and do not call for violence. Among the best known songs of the band include Chaos and ACAB. Along with their own publications, the band was also represented at the first Oi! Samplers, with bands such as Cockney Rejects, The Business and Angelic Upstarts.

2007, The 4-Skins founded new, from the original cast of 1979 are still the lead singer Gary Hodges and bassist Steve 'H' Harmer here.
