The Alliance (dancehall)

The Alliance is an association of artists from Jamaica who are musically active in the field of dancehall, reggae and the like. The group of Rodney Basil Price was founded, better known as Bounty Killer. The group consists of deejays and producers Singjays and some feature their own record label, which is integrated into the Alliance ( eg DASECA of the singjay Serani ). The best-known members are, inter alia, Elephant Man, Busy Signal and Wayne Marshall. A well-known former member, for example, Vybz Kartel. As a shortcut, The Alli is often used.

History

The crew was ( The Heavyweights ) of the dancehall deejay Bounty Killer founded in 2003 under the name The Heavyweights to promote young Deejaytalente. Among the founding members Busy Signal, Wayne Marshall, Bling Dawg, Mavado and Vybz Kartel were. 2005 Mavado found another project to support young talent named Gully Squad. This is how the group was later founded by Busy Signal Hot Head Turf, part of the Alliance. 2006 left Vybz Kartel Aidonia, along with the Alliance after a dispute with founder Price. After Kartel left the Alliance, he founded his own crew of DJs called Portmore Empire. Since these two groups compete vigorously, from various diss songs to riots at concerts and festivals. 2009 The Alliance was the most popular group in Jamaica.
