Action

The working for the NASA Astronaut Charles Farmer gives up his job and dedicated to the operation of a farm.

Farmer presents some years later found that he missed the work as an astronaut. He decides to build a spacecraft alone. His neighbors think he's crazy, but his family supported him. The project attracts the interest of the media but also the authorities which recognize a security risk in the rocket launch. They meet the project with suspicion and want to stop farmers. Also they feel demonstrated by farmers, because should he make it with comparatively few resources to successfully carry out the rocket launch, they see the high funding for the state's space program in danger. However, he manages to fix the error and he lands without incident a few hours drive away from his farm in the desert sand.

In the credits, he is celebrated as a hero. A brief appearance on the show from Jay Leno, who joked whether the utopian project initially about him, crowns this story about a man who lived his dream.

James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews, the film offers " dreams, obsession, faith, courage, and redemption." It incorporates " one or two surprises." Billy Bob Thornton could be like; the representation of Virginia Madsen was " solid".

Kevin Crust wrote in the Los Angeles Times of 23 February 2007, the film follow "perfect" the scheme of the films about the people who were possessed by an idea. In this respect, the film was so " orthodox " means that the deviations from the scheme would give pleasure to the viewer. Crust praised the portrayal of Billy Bob Thornton and the "strong" performances of the supporting cast.
