The Australian Financial Review is the leading business newspaper in Australia. The newspaper is published daily from Monday to Saturday from Fairfax Media.

History

In August 1951, the Australian Financial Review was founded as a weekly newspaper. From October 1961 it was sold twice a week and daily from 1963. In February 1995, The Australian Financial Review Magazine was introduced, followed by a Web page in the same year.

In 2007, the website has been redesigned and now has to be paid for by their readers. In addition, an investment website was set up shortly afterwards, called AFR Market Wrap.

Ideology

Since the 1970s, the newspaper is the economic liberalism and favors the lowest possible political interference in economic affairs, privatization, lower taxes and free trade. The columns that are published in the newspaper, but have a far wider range.
