The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl is a live album by the British band The Beatles. The pictures were taken at two concerts, which gave the band in the U.S. Amphitheatre Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles ) on August 23, 1964 and August 30, 1965. However, the recordings were only published on May 4, 1977 after being revised by Beatles producer George Martin.

Background

The record company, Capitol Records, in which the U.S. versions of Beatles recordings appeared, already taking place every in February 1964 Beatles concert for a publication intended record them. To this end, the British Musicians 'Union Musicians' Union had not consented. Instead, a concert on August 23, 1964 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles was recorded on a three- track tape. Instead, two more concerts of The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl a year later were recorded on 29 and August 30, 1965, but these recordings were released for publication not suitable.

Mid-1970s, the Beatles producer George Martin was asked to revise the images for a publication, as now a large demand for a live album of the Beatles had formed. Martin had to organize next trouble finding a suitable tape recorder to play the tapes. The device, which used it and the sound engineer Geoff Emerick, overheats quickly and had to be cooled with a converted vacuum cleaner. Ultimately, they played the three -track tapes on a 16- track tape and put together 13 songs, the recordings were not taken into account from 29 August 1965. Publication

The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl was released twelve or thirteen years after his admission the first and only official live album of the Beatles on May 4, 1977 record and MusicCassette.
