The Belle Stars

The Belle Stars were an English rock band that consisted entirely of women. Their single Sign of the Times, which was published in January 1983, reached number 3 in the UK and was also successful in Europe.

Their debut album reached # 15 in the UK album charts.

The single Iko Iko from the year 1989, especially in the U.S. chart success, reaching number 14 on the Billboard Top 100 in March. The song was also included in the soundtrack to the film Rain Man and The Hangover and is originally from the U.S. vocal trio The Dixie Cups.
