The Big 4 Live from Sofia, Bulgaria

The Big 4 Live from Sofia, Bulgaria is a Konzert-DVD/Blu-Ray of the " big four " of thrash metal, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax. It was released on October 29, 2010. It was recorded on 22 June 2010 at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia, Bulgaria. Of all the four bands of the complete live performance is included. The recordings were broadcast live in 450 theaters in the U.S. and in 350 other cinemas in Europe, Canada and Latin America. In Germany, the DVD reached number four in the charts and gold status. They also brought the first Slayer platinum award, it reached double platinum in the U.S.. The last show of the "Big Four " took place in 2011. Tom Araya of Slayer said in 2013 that it would no longer come to such shows because of differences between all and " a single tape ." It is speculated by the media that he is to Megadeth.

Formation

The festival was part of the Sonisphere Festival in Europe in the summer of 2010 that took place all the four bands. On 16 June 2010, the four bands played on Bemowo airport in Warsaw in Poland for the first time ever at a concert together. The first photo of all the band members was taken on June 15, 2010, only Jeff Hanneman of Slayer was missing here. Directed by Nick Wickham in concert recording. Tickets for the live broadcasts cost $ 20. On 25 August 2010, the publication date, as well as the design were announced. Initially announced for mid-October, the publication then the end of October in the EU, and the November 1, 2010 internationally and November 2, 2010, moved to the United States.
