The Call (Band)

The Call was an American rock band that was founded in 1980 in San Francisco, California.

History

From the beginning, acted on their long -playing records again and again famous guest musicians. So Bono sang U2 on the 90 album " Red Moon " in the background, and in 1986 were heard on the LP " Reconciled " Jim Kerr of Simple Minds and Peter Gabriel. Garth Hudson, organist and saxophonist of the band The band is on the first three albums as a keyboardist in use.

The singer Michael Been playing ever again with supporting roles in feature films, so among other things, in Martin Scorsese 's controversial The Last Temptation of Christ, the Apostle John. His son Robert Levon Been is co-founder and frontman of the alternative rock band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The band broke up in 2000. Michael Been died on 19 August 2010 during the Belgian music festival Pukkelpop of a heart attack.
