Reviews

" Film adaptation of the partially autobiographical novel by AJ Cronin, which refers to the relationship between a medical professional ethos and environment influence. The film contrasts this interaction at the stations of a medical practice at the mine workers and the high society, where the doctor is corrupted professionally. In the time-critical presentation of date, but at the core of the vocational problem still valid. The realistic style of directing acts more distancing from the time lag. "

" A powerful hands- film that deserves mainly because of its sensitive and accurate description of the milieu coalfield attention and interest. Recommended age of 16. "
