The Classic of Tea

The Chinese book named chajing (Chinese茶 经/茶 经, The Book of Tea ' or Tea Classic ) is a small book in ten short chapters about the tea from the year 760 the Tang period. Its author is Lu Yu (Chinese陆羽) ( 728-804 ). It is the most famous book on all aspects of tea in East Asia. It is the first monograph devoted to tea and treats virtually every aspect of making tea and tea culture. The work is an important source of Chinese eating and drinking culture.

A modern annotated edition with neuchinesischer translation in 1981 in Yunnan renmin chubanshe Chinese publishing in Kunming under the title The Book of Tea explained in easily understood by Zhang Fangci (张芳 赐) et al. edited.
