The Core Shopping Centre (Calgary)

The CORE Shopping Centre is a shopping mall in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It has an area of ​​55 742 square meters and more than 160 shops on four levels, next to cafes and restaurants as well as a botanical indoor garden. The complex consists of several buildings and office buildings such as the TD Canada Trust Tower, Home Oil Tower, Dome Tower and the historic Lancaster Building. History

The company T. Eaton Co. opened its first shopping center in the year 1929. 1977 at this site joined to larger neighboring shops and this was associated to a larger complex. The TD Square in the neighborhood had four floors and the Botanical Gardens. 1990 moved from the Eaton business out of his building, which was demolished and replaced by a new and bigger at the same place and Calgary Eaton Centre was named. The historic facade of the building from 1929 has been preserved and restored and is still highly influential part of the shopping center.
