The Country Cousin

The Country Cousin is an American animated short film directed by Wilfred Jackson from the year 1936.

Action

Monty City Mouse from the big city City Limits has invited his cousin Abner Country Mouse from Podunk to himself to the city. Abner appears in good spirits and wants to immediately take the cheese itself, which lies on the mousetrap before Monty's mousehole. Monty can stop him and also appreciates the cheese not look - he leads Abner on the richly-laden dinner table of the villa where he takes quite a few pieces of the finest gourmet cheese to be.

Abner, meanwhile, is too excited to be picky: He eagerly eats cheese, celery and cream. When he takes a large dose of mustard to be the focus set him significantly. Production

The Country Cousin is based on Aesop's fable The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse. The film came out as part of Disney's beloved film series Silly Symphonies on 31 October 1936.

The Country Cousin won the 1937 Oscar in the category " Best Animated Short Film ".
