Dark Side of the Sun ( The Dark Side of the Sun ) is an American- Canadian- Yugoslav film by Bozidar Nikolic, who was produced in 1988 and published in 1997.

Action

The young Americans Rick suffers from a rare and dangerous skin disease xeroderma pigmentosum, which forces him to constantly wear a full body suit made of leather, as the sun's rays are deadly for him. His father takes him and his catatonic mother to Yugoslavia, where a healer remedy is to create. However, Rick sees no progress in the therapy of the healer and will always dejected after the initial euphoria. When shopping in the city, he meets the beautiful actress Frances know into which he falls in love and decides to take the mask for Frances, even if it means death for him.

Reviews

The lexicon of international film described the film as a "boring, half-baked love story ".

Mike DeWolfe wrote in Apollo Movie Guide, the film is so weak that it surprise that Brad Pitt was then able to find work. The representations were " pathetic " (English poor, pitiful, pathetic ), the love affair was " stilted " and parts of the plot were " irrelevant ", sometimes pointless.

Background

The film was shot in Montenegro. The film was released only when Pitt became internationally known, and thus nine years after its completion.
