Criticism

"The story is now and again wanted something with meaning. However, with his lead actress Irène Jacob Kieslowski's poetry full drama a big plus. Your subtle nuances in playing carries the film over long distances. "

Film critic Marek Haltof appear in the film a political allegory in which Weronika in Poland and Veronique stands for France. Both are characterized by high culture, but while Véronique seems apparently free to choose their destiny, Weronikas is early death for the sacrifice of Poland in World War II and the subsequent incorporation into the Soviet bloc.
