The Elegants

The Elegants is an American doo-wop group, which was founded in 1958 by Vito Picone, Arthur Venosa, Frank Tardogano, Carmen Romano and James Mochella in South Beach, Staten Iceland.

History

Normally, five felt rather as a street musician, to her song " Little Star " happens to be a million-seller and was number 1 in the U.S. charts reached. In Britain, it reached number 25

After this surprising success of the teenagers traveled across the United States as the opening act for stars such as Buddy Holly, Dion and the Belmonts, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis. Of the follow-up singles but no longer reached the success of " Little Star ", and the band fell apart.

In the late 1960s began the lead singer Vito Picone to revive the band again. He gathered three new singers around ( Fred Redmond, Nino Amato and Bruce Copp ) and is with this group to this day still all over the U.S. go. You also perform annually at the " San Gennaro Festival " in Little Italy (New York City) and are there to the main acts.
