The Firm (Rockband)

The Firm was a British rock band that existed from 1984 to 1986. Due to the prominence and musical origins of its founders, the band is considered as a super group.

History

The Firm was founded in 1984 by Jimmy Page (guitar) and Paul Rodgers ( vocals, guitar). The other band members were Tony Franklin ( bass, keyboards ) and Chris Slade (drums, percussion).

Page originally wanted Bill Bruford on drums and Pino Palladino as a bassist, but both were bound by contract. Although the group had successful tours, the plate sales were rather disappointing.

After two albums, the band broke up in 1986. Page and Rodgers continued their solo careers, Slade went to AC / DC and Franklin joined the band Blue Murder at.

The song Fortune Hunter went to the XYZ Sessions by Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, Chris Squire and Alan White (of Yes) back in 1981.
