The First Team

As The First Team players are called, who have played the first basketball after them, was taught by James Naismith, who is considered the inventor of basketball in 1891 the game. This team includes 18 players who were studying at the University in Springfield, Massachusetts, to become Executive Secretary of the YMCA. As part of their training, they were taught in the subject of Physical Education Naismith, who supposedly invented the game to teach his students skills of teamwork. The first basketball game was played on December 21, 1891. The team was admitted as a team during the inauguration ceremony of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in this. Thus, the performance of the team in popularity increase sport of basketball and the fact that the members of the first basketball players were at all were honored.
