The Flower Pot Men

The Flower Pot Men was a British band. It was formed in 1967 from the band The Ivy League. The driving forces behind the band were the two songwriters John Carter and Ken Lewis.

Your single hit landed the band in 1967 with Let's Go to San Francisco. Characteristic for this song are melody and vocal harmonies in the style of the Beach Boys. This rose The Flower Pot Men to # 4 on the British charts. It was followed by other singles, but none of which became a hit. The band broke up in 1970.

Keyboardist was briefly among others Jon Lord (Deep Purple). Even Jimmy Page ( Led Zeppelin) was involved in the sixties in studio sessions as a guitarist.
