The Four Pennies

The Four Pennies was a British pop band of the early 1960s.

Founded as the formation in Blackburn, England. Lead singer Lionel Morton had sung there seven years in the church choir - a good foundation for his later starring role in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. In October 1963, the Four Pennies got their first record deal. In 1964 their first single "Do You Want Me To? ", This placed located right in the British charts. The second single Juliet was her biggest hit, reaching # 1 on the charts. Mid-1966, the group fell apart.
