The Fray
The Fray is a four-piece American indie rock band from Denver.
Band History
2002 founded Isaac Slade (vocals, piano) and Joe King (vocals, guitar), the band. With the support of local radio stations was their first single, the demo version of Over My Head (Cable Car ), one of the most played songs of 2004 in Denver. Due to this success the label Epic Records in 2004 offered them a record deal.
Still has The Fray no official bassist, but is at their concerts Jimmy Stofer on bass. About the possible inclusion of Jimmy Stofer was The Fray announced anything yet. Stofer also be seen in the video of Over My Head (Cable Car ).
Their debut album How to Save a Life was released on 13 September 2005 in the United States. The German publication on 27 October 2006. September 22, however, was already the single Over My Head (Cable Car ) available in Germany.
On 7 December 2006, the band was nominated for two Grammys: in the categories " Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals " ( Over My Head (Cable Car ) ) and " Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals " ( How to Save a Life ).
The second studio album, The Fray, was released on 3 February 2009 in the United States. The first single from it is the song You Found Me The Fray In May 2009, gave three concerts in Germany.
In October 2011, The Fray released her first single heartbeat for digital sales in the United States. Their third studio album Scars and Stories was published on March 2, 2012.
