Achilles (English Alternative title: The Wrath of Achilles ) is a mythological adventure film produced in Italy in 1962, loosely based on the substance of Homer.

Content

Troy is under siege. Achilles, invulnerable scion of the Nereid Thetis, is against the besieging King Agamemnon and his companions, which the Trojans get a strategic advantage. Only when Hector kills Patroclus from their camp, with the Achilles was a friend, this takes with his army back part part in the battle. He humiliates Agamemnon and Hektor forces in a losing battle. At the end of the film the Achilles tendon of Achilles is then cut with a hatchet.

Achilles had on September 23, 1962 its Italian premiere. The West German premiere learned the film on January 18, 1963. In the GDR it was first shown on 11 June 1988, DFF 2 in the GDR television.
