The garden is a twisted, 1995 under the direction of Martin Sulik for in Slovakia movie. The film won awards at film festivals in Turin, Bologna, Prague, Vienna, Cottbus and Mannheim- Heidelberg. In his German synchronization of the fabulously poetic film runs since its premiere in Germany on 7 November 1996 again in German cinemas.

Action

Jakub, mid-30s, is a teacher and still lives with his father. With Tereza, a married woman and a customer of his father he has a love affair. During the holidays, he goes into the garden house of his late grandfather in the country. There he finds encrypted diaries and buried treasures of his grandfather, meets an holiness -seeking Benedict, who tends sheep, a Citroën 2CV driving Rousseau with nagging wife and 3 children, one dealing in real estate Wittgenstein and strikes up a friendship with a " miraculous virgin" named Helena. Helena can heal itself and decides Jakub heal. He ended his affair with Tereza, speaks with his father, finds his inner peace and decides to stay in the country.

Criticism
