The Ghost Busters is an American television series that was produced in 1975 and aired from 1975 to 1976 on CBS. It was only produced one season with 15 episodes. Directors of the series were Norman Abbott ( 8 episodes) and Larry Peerce (7 episodes ). The plot revolves around the two clumsy " detectives " Jake Kong and Eddie Spencer, and a gorilla named Tracy, investigate the ghosts and monsters phenomena.

The series has no relation to the movie Ghostbusters - Ghostbusters 1984 ( although Columbia Pictures the naming rights of Filmation secured ), but one to the animated series Ghostbusters of Filmation (1986 to 1988), in which the sons Jake Jr. Kong and Eddie jr go. Spencer, and Tracy the Gorilla on a ghost hunt and be visited by their " fathers."

Action

Each episode begins by Jake, Eddie and Tracy in a convenience store are going to obtain new contracts in the form of tape recordings, which included a mission description. The tapes are alluding to Cobra, you ( Mission Impossible ) in bicycles, typewriters, paintings and the like hidden. The tape recordings always with the message "This message will self-destruct in five seconds itself " ("This message will self destruct in five seconds" ). When it explodes, Tracy's face is blackened, as in a cartoon. Your inquiries always bring it to the same old haunted castle outside the city, where they carry the ghosts with their Dematerialisatoren back to the afterlife.

  • Bob Burns was stated in the introduction as coach Tracy ( " Tracy " trained by Bob Burns), although he himself played the role of Tracy with a gorilla costume.
  • The series brought the actor Forrest Tucker and Larry Storch again in rolls along that embodied similar bumbling characters like the ones they played together in the series F Troop.
  • The name of Spencer and Tracy were derived from the U.S. actor Spencer Tracy.
