The Go Find is a band project by Dieter Sermeus from Antwerp, Belgium.
Band History
Dieter Sermeus, born in 1974 in Antwerp, played at the age of 15 years guitar and sang in the band Orange Black which was geared to the New Wave style of Duran Duran and The Cure. Two years later, the group has already played in the interlude of well-known indie bands like Pavement, Stereolab or Seam. Published with the band Orange Black Sermeus on the labels Atomic and Lableman the three albums It's Electric, Bright Lights and Morning Notes, as well as the 7 " freak generation b / w nutricious. Then founded Sermeus the band Napkin Vs. Soda, which he stylistically a embarking on a new direction and songs in lo-fi ambience grossed. Numerous titles appear on various compilations. few years later Sermeus met Arne Van Petegem, known by the stage name Styrofoam. , with whom he successfully combined songwriter elements with electronic effects and called the music project, The Go Find. arose album Miami, which is named after a two-day tour of the musician to Miami and came out on Morr Music. Later he founded his own live band and went with this tour. too, on his second album, Stars On the Wall, which is published by Morr Music in 2007, united Sermeus back guitar sound with electronic elements. This album played Sermeus together with Nico Jacobs, Joris Calluwaerts and Tim Coenen, three musicians from his live band in Antwerp. Finally, Peter Pask came on electric bass to the group, so that the go find had changed from a solo project to a band. Was released in 2010 the album Everybody Knows It's Gonna Happen Only Not Tonight.
