The Grandmaster (film)

The Grand Master ( original title一代 宗师/一代 宗师, Yi dài Zong shī ) is a film of Chinese director Wong Kar- Wai from the year 2013. The film was on February 7, 2013, the opening film at the International Film Festival 2013 in Berlin. The film was shown out of competition there, as Wong Kar- Wai was also the president of the jury of the festival.

The film was finally completed until 72 hours before publication by Wong Kar- Wai. The production costs are estimated at 240 million RMB (about 28 million euros ).

Action

The film tells the story of Chinese martial artist Yip Man, considered the mentor of Bruce Lee.
