The Gray Race

The Gray Race is the ninth studio album by the American punk rock band Bad Religion. It was released in February 1996 with Atlantic Records.

History

The Gray Race was recorded in the fall of 1995 in New York City. Producer was Ric Ocasek, who also worked for Weezer and Bad Brains. On this album the first time played guitarist Brett Gurewitz not, but Brian Baker, who joined during the tour to Stranger Than Fiction. The plate was the first time since the debut LP How Could Hell Be Any Worse? really taken together, partly because of the cost, on the other hand to produce after Gurewitz ' leaving a feeling of unity. All songs were written by Greg Graffin, the remaining other songwriter of the band, Brian Baker worked on four songs co-written with.

Especially the first two singles, A Walk and punk rock song were quite successful and played the accompanying music videos on the television. The album itself reached Germany in 11th and 56th place in the U.S.
