The Greenbrier

Greenbrier Greenbrier or resort is a four star hotel in the city of White Sulphur Springs in Greenbrier County, West Virginia.

In 1778, the Greenbrier hotel was built and for a long time, the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway and its successor company CSX Corporation. 26 U.S. Präsidentenund foreign heads of state have stayed in the presidential suite of the hotel. 1959 an above-ground section of the building and underground bunkers were built onto the hotel, the 200 to 250 m deep located under the earth, and the U.S. government should, in the case of a nuclear war to serve as a retreat. By the year 2000, the Greenbrier was a five -star hotel, the fifth star was now denied by the Mobil Travel Guide and not yet recovered. 2009, the insolvent hotel was sold to the businessman Jim Justice.
