The Hollywood Reporter is a journal of the film industry in the United States. In September 1930, the former movie Seller William R. ( "Billy" ) Wilkerson published the first edition. The Hollywood Reporter is a publication of The Nielsen Company.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first daily newspaper in the entertainment industry in Hollywood. Wilkerson ran the magazine until his death in 1962.
