The Hollywood Reporter

The Hollywood Reporter is a journal of the film industry in the United States. In September 1930, the former movie Seller William R. ( "Billy" ) Wilkerson published the first edition. The Hollywood Reporter is a publication of The Nielsen Company.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first daily newspaper in the entertainment industry in Hollywood. Wilkerson ran the magazine until his death in 1962. Thereafter, his wife, Tichi Wilkerson, publisher and editor was. She sold the magazine in the late eighties. New editor was Teri Ritzer and publisher Robert Dowling. Dowling went into retirement in 2005, Tony Uphoff took over the position in 2006.
