The Hong Kong and China Gas Company

Hong Kong and China Gas (commonly known as Town Gas ) is a Chinese company based in Hong Kong. The company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange share index Hang Seng Index. Hong Kong and China Gas is the main provider of natural gas in Hong Kong. Hong Kong and China Gas was founded in 1862.

The largest shareholder in Hong Kong and China Gas is the Chinese company Henderson Land Development (HDL). Currently, HDL tries to acquire a majority stake in the company. Lee Shau Kee, Chairman of HDL, is also the Chairman of Hong Kong and China Gas, are also represented as three in ten other board members in both companies.
