The Initiative (Tunisia)

Almoubadara ( " The Initiative") (Arabic Al المبادرة Moubadara, French L' initiative) is a party of the political center in Tunisia.

It was - after the Jasmine Revolution - founded on 1 April 2011 and has emerged from the Constitutional Democratic Rally Party (RCD) of ousted President Ben Ali. Almoubadara is led by Kamel Morjane, former foreign and defense ministers under Ben Ali. The initiative Party strongly supports the representation of former members of the Constitutional Democratic Rally Party in the post- revolutionary politics.

The party received in the election to the Constituent Assembly of Tunisia in 2011 a total of 2.3 % of the votes and thus 5 seats in the Chamber of Deputies.
