The Internationale Hegel-Vereinigung

The International Hegel Association is a scientific association for the promotion of research in the sense of thinking of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. It was founded in 1962 by Hans -Georg Gadamer in Heidelberg and currently has about 250 members. Your president is in March 2007 Axel Honneth. The office is located at the Philosophy Department of the University of Heidelberg.

The association organizes every six years Hegel Congress in Stuttgart. His publications have appeared until 1980 as Beihefte of Hegel studies; since they will be published as a separate row in the Klett- Cotta Verlag. Since 1970, the International Hegel Association every three years awards the international Hegel Prize, together with the city of Stuttgart.
