The Jeff Beck Group

The Jeff Beck Group was a rock band founded by British guitarist Jeff Beck in 1967.

Beck had previously left the Yardbirds in the year and now also returned with his own band on the rock stage after he had initially sought a solo career. Members of the Jeff Beck Group were next to Beck Rod Stewart (vocals), Ron Wood (bass, later guitarist with the Rolling Stones), Micky Waller (drums) and Nicky Hopkins (keyboards). The cast changed a few times, including Aynsley Dunbar took over the drums from Micky Waller in the band.

The Jeff Beck Group brought out two albums, Truth ( 1968) and Beck- Ola (1969). Also in 1969 the band produced the album Barabajagal with Donovan, but dissolved shortly afterwards - even before the scheduled appearance at the Woodstock festival - on.

In 1970, Beck a serious car accident, from which he recovered only slowly. In 1971, he presented with Bob Tench (vocals), Clive Chaman ( bass), Cozy Powell (drums ) and Max Middleton (piano) a new edition of the Jeff Beck Group on its feet, but there was only a short time. From this phase comes the albums Rough and Ready (1971) and Jeff Beck Group (1972).
