The King Blues

The King Blues was an acoustic ska band from London, combining in her style influences of ska and acoustic folk to those of punk and hardcore. Influenced they were, among others, Public Enemy, The Clash, The Specials and Minor Threat.

Band History

The King Blues started out as a ska duo consisting of Itch ( ukulele / vocals) and Jamie Jazz (guitar / additional vocals). Jamie Jazz working time in a music store called " Rock Around the Clock" in Crouch End / Muswell Hill, London, this employment gave up, however, because he realized that the success of The King Blues was to create only effort of its entire time. In addition, the band was completed shortly afterwards by another acoustic guitar and a bass. The sound of the King Blues was then described as " soulful ska with raw folk and a punk rock attitude".

In June 2006 they released their debut album Under the Fog on Household Name Records, which led to an increase of gigs and performances.

On 20 October 2008 was followed by the second album Save the World, Get the Girl, after the first single "Let's Hang the Landlord " has been published in May.

The band announced on April 2, 2012 their resolution known.
