The Kingston Trio

The Kingston Trio is an American musical group. She was very popular in the late 1950s and the 1960s and was instrumental in the revival of folk. The trio played from 1957 in Palo Alto, California, with members Bob Shane, Nick Reynolds and Dave Guard. They were influenced by the sound of the " Weavers ". The first hit of the Kingston Trio was a version of the folk song Tom Dooley, for which in 1958 was awarded a gold disc. The band's music was simple and harmonious. Still in 2004 sang the original member Bob Shane, along with George Grove and Bobby Haworth.
