The Ladd Company is an American film production and rental company.

History

In 1979, Alan Ladd Jr., the Ladd Company, after having been a long-time president of Twentieth Century Fox. Under Warner Bros., the company acquired through films such as Night Shift, the first two Police Academy parts and the stuff of heroes are, but especially by Ridley Scott's science fiction film Blade Runner quickly great notoriety.

However, after the failures of the stuff of which the hero and the animated film Twice Upon a Time ( co-produced with Lucasfilm ), the company rushed for almost a decade in a financial crisis that could only be overcome by working with Paramount Pictures on the Oscar-winning Braveheart. In addition, two movies that were based on the U.S. television series from the 70s emerged: The Brady Bunch and the continuation of The Brady Bunch 2

The most recent works are Lasse Hallström drama An Unfinished Life (2005) and Gone Baby Gone - No Child's Play from the year 2007.
