The Lake House (Original Title: The Lake House ) is a romantic drama film from 2006, directed by Alejandro Agresti. The film stars Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves.

The film is a remake of the Korean feature film Life as a House - Il Mare from the year 2000.

Action

Dr. Kate Forster is leaving a house on the lake where she had lived for some time, and moved to Chicago, where she takes a job as a doctor. She leaves a message in their mailbox for their tenant. Alex Wyler, whose father once built the house, finds this message and from then exchanged messages with Kate about the letter box of the house.

It turns out that Alex lives in the past in 2004, Kate in 2006. On her birthday in 2006, Kate is sitting alone in a bar She remembers a man who two years earlier attended her birthday party.
