The Last Lear is an English-language Indian feature film directed by Rituparno Ghosh from the year 2007. The plot has parallels with the Drama King Lear.
Action
The actress Shabnam is deeply saddened that the legendary stage actor Harish 'Harry' Mishra is seriously ill, since then he has appeared in the movie "The Mask" by the young director Siddharth. When she goes to his house during the Diwali night with his assistant Vandana and his nurse Ivy, a longer conversation, the film tells in flashback the filming of "The Mask". Shabnam remembers how Harry cheered, as it is in a bad relationship.
