The Longcut

The Longcut is a British rock band from Manchester.

The Longcut was founded in 2002. The debut EP Transition was published in 2004, the EP A Quiet Life appeared the following year. The first album A call and response was released in 2006, it was selected by both The Sun as the New Musical Express at the 50 best albums of the year. End of this year they accompanied The Charlatans as the opening act. Appeared in 2007, the EP Idiot Check, a new album is in preparation.
